This demo shows how to add an external contact to a Microsoft Teams direct message or group chat using the Add People feature. Follow the steps below to invite outside collaborators by email directly within Teams.
Steps
- Open Microsoft Teams and select the DM where you want to add your external contact.
- Click on the 'Add people' icon at the top of the conversation.
- Select the 'Add people' option from the drop-down list that appears.
- Type the email address of the external contact, then click on the name listed below the search field.
- Click the 'Add' button to confirm and add the external contact to the conversation.
