Steps
- Log in to your Jira account.
- On your dashboard, identify the project where you want to add a Spike issue.
- Click Project settings in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
- Navigate to the Issue types tab in Project settings.
- Click Add issue type to begin creating a new type.
- Select Create issue type from the available options.
- Fill in the issue type details, click Change icon to select an icon, then click the Create button to save.
- Your Spike issue type is now created — fill in any additional data as needed.
