This demo shows how to automate Mailchimp subscriber list management using a Zapier Zap that detects new subscribers and sends their data directly to a Google Sheets spreadsheet. In under 12 steps, you can connect Mailchimp and Google Sheets without writing a single line of code.
Steps
- Log in to Zapier, click Create, and select Zaps to start the automation process.
- Click Trigger to begin configuring the trigger step of your Zap.
- Search for and select Mailchimp as the trigger app.
- Choose New Subscriber as the trigger event to detect when a new subscriber is added.
- Connect your Mailchimp account to Zapier by authorizing access.
- Select the Mailchimp audience or list from which you want to pull subscriber data.
- Run a test to ensure Zapier successfully detects a new subscriber from your list.
- Add Google Sheets as the Action App in your Zap.
- Choose Create Spreadsheet Row as the action event, then connect your Google account.
- Fill in the necessary fields to map Mailchimp subscriber data to the correct spreadsheet columns.
- Run a test to confirm that new Mailchimp subscribers' data is correctly passed to your Google Sheet.
- Click Publish to activate your Zap and start the automation.
