How To Upgrade Domain Security In Salesforce

‍

‍

Here’s a quick overview of how to upgrade domain security in Salesforce:

  1. Access Setup using the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Enter "My Domain" in the Quick Find search box and select it.
  3. Under My Domain Details, click Edit and specify your desired domain name.
  4. Use the Check Availability button next to the My Domain Name field to verify your choice.
  5. Click Save to confirm your domain name.
  6. Wait for Salesforce to generate your new URLs.
  7. Return to My Domain and click Deploy to implement your new domain.

Important Considerations:

  • This change affects all Salesforce URLs in your organization - testing in a sandbox environment is strongly recommended
  • System administrator permissions and a custom domain name are required
  • Thoroughly test all functionality, including Salesforce features and integrated applications, after implementing the new domain
