Quick summary
Moving elements in Webflow is done through a visual drag-and-drop interface that shows live placement indicators as you reposition content. Once placed, you can fine-tune any element's positioning, spacing, and layout using the right sidebar's element settings panel.
Steps
- Open the Add Elements panel from the left sidebar menu.
- Select any element you want to add to the canvas or choose an existing element you want to move.
- Watch the blue indicator lines as you drag — they show exactly where the element will be dropped.
- Drag already-placed elements to any new position on the canvas at any time.
- Once the element is in place, open the right sidebar to access element settings and customize its placement.
- Adjust properties such as float, spacing, positioning, and layers to refine the layout.
- Use drag and drop combined with custom settings to place any element exactly where you want it in Webflow.
