You can import Excel data into ClickUp by converting your spreadsheet to a CSV file and using the built-in Import/Export tool found in ClickUp's Settings. The process lets you map fields, choose a destination Space or List, and track import status in real time.
Steps
- Click on your profile avatar in the bottom left corner.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- In the settings menu, find and click on Import/Export.
- Click on the Start Import tab.
- Choose CSV from the available import options.
- Click the Upload data from file button to select your CSV file from your computer.
- Select Review to preview your data before continuing.
- After reviewing the data, select Continue.
- Click Yes to confirm and proceed.
- Select the Space, Folder, or List where you want to import your tasks.
- Click Next and ensure you have the correct destination selected to keep your data organized.
- Review your mapped fields and destination, then click Next.
- Click Complete to finalize the import.
- A notification appears confirming the import is in progress — click Check status to monitor it.
- The status screen confirms your import is actively processing.
- Your Excel data is now successfully imported into ClickUp, ready for task management.
