How To Import Contacts in HubSpot

In this demo, you will learn how to import contacts in Hubspot from your device. 

1. Click on Contacts on your dashboard.
2. Select Contacts from the drop-down menu to access the relevant section for contacts, companies, deals, or tickets within your HubSpot account. 
3. Then, locate and select the Import option located in the upper right corner. 
4. On the import or sync data page, select Start an import.
5. Pick Import file from computer option to upload your records (or select one of the other options). Make sure the file is in csv, xls, or xlxs format. Hit Next.
6. Depending on how many files you need to import, select the appropriate option and hit Next.
7. Similarly, select the apt option basis the number of objects you wish to import. These will be used to organize your data. Hit Next again.
8. Select the Objects you want to import, and their corresponding Activities, before hitting Next again to proceed.
9. Pick the record file to upload from your device and specify other relevant information on the page. Hit Next to proceed.
10. Map out your contact properties and click on Next.
11. Once everything looks fine, click the I agree checkbox and hit Finish import to wrap it all up.

Note: Prior to starting, ensure your file for import is properly prepared. For example,

• It should contain a header row, with each column labeled to correspond with a HubSpot contact property, whether it's a default or a custom property.
• Make sure to align the column headers in your file with the properties you wish to populate in HubSpot.
• Also, the steps to each import method will differ, so proceed by adhering to the guided steps to successfully complete the importation of your records into HubSpot.
