A Mixpanel dashboard (also called a Board) lets you combine Insights reports, text, images, and other analytics widgets into a single shared view for tracking key product metrics. This step-by-step walkthrough shows you how to create a new Board, add and configure content, and arrange your dashboard layout in Mixpanel.
Steps
- From the Mixpanel homepage, locate the + New Board button at the top of the left sidebar and click it to create a new board.
- Set a name for your new board.
- Click the Add to Board button to view options for customizing your dashboard, or choose a template for a common design.
- From the menu, select any item to add to your dashboard by clicking once.
- Format text blocks, upload images, or link videos to enrich your board content.
- Use the + Add content button to continue adding more items to your board.
- Add an Insights Report to your board to visualize traffic and key metrics for your project.
- Select Insights Report, then click the Select Event button under Metrics to configure your report.
- Select the event you wish to track on your report.
- Click Save to save your report.
- Return to the dashboard using the top-left navigation or the Close button in the top right.
- Use the + Add content side button to add additional items to existing rows, building a grid layout.
- Add a few more useful items to populate your board with relevant data.
- Use the handle icon on each item to drag and rearrange their position on the dashboard.
