How To Change Marketing Contact Status in HubSpot

To manually create a contact and set them as marketing:

1. Go to Contacts > Contacts in your HubSpot account.
2. Click on Create contact in the upper right corner.
3. Enter the contact's information in the right panel.
4. Check the Set this contact as a marketing contact box.
5. Click Create

To import contacts and set them as marketing:

1. Create an import file with the contacts you want to set as marketing.
2. Import the file.
3. In the Details step, check the Set these contacts as marketing contacts box.
4. Enter the estimated number of marketing contacts and click Import and set [x] contacts.
5. Click Finish import.
   

To set existing contacts as marketing:

1. Go to Contacts > Contacts in your HubSpot account.
2. Select the checkboxes next to the contacts you want to set as marketing contacts.
3. Click the More dropdown menu and choose Set as marketing contacts.
4. Enter the number of contacts and click Set [x] contacts.
5. The contacts will be set as marketing immediately and count towards your contact tier limit.
