How to Back Up Salesforce

‍

Salesforce offers a robust and secure platform, but having backups is always a good practice.

  1. Go to Setup on the top right of the Salesforce interface.
  2. Search for “Data Export” in the Quick Find bar in the left column.
  3. Choose the Data categories you want to export. This includes Leads Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities etc.
  4. Choose CSV or XLSX format for your backup.
  5. You can do a One-time Export to backup once or Schedule Export for recurring backup needs.
  6. You'll receive an email notification when the export is complete.
