Quick summary
Adding columns in WordPress is done through the Gutenberg block editor by inserting a Columns block and selecting a layout. Once added, each column accepts any block type — text, images, or media — and can be styled and resized directly in the editor.
Steps
- Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Posts or Pages.
- Click on the post or page where you want to add columns, or create a new one.
- Click the + button (Add Block) in the block editor.
- Search for Columns and select the Columns block from the available options.
- Select the column layout that best suits your needs.
- Click on each column to add blocks like text, images, or other content blocks.
- Use the block editor's tools to style, format, and adjust the width of the columns as needed.
- Once satisfied with the layout, click Save to save your changes.
