How to Add a Global Action in Salesforce

Here’s how you can add a global action to the Salesforce Publisher Layout (top right portion of the screen)

1. Go to Setup on the top right.
2. Search for Global Actions on the Quick Find.
3. Click on New Actions.
4. Enter New Global Action:some text
   • Enter info for Action Type,(Create a Record) Target Object (account), Label (Account_Creation_Test), and finally input success Message:
5. Hit Save.
6. Go to Setup Home.
7. Search for Publisher Layouts under Global Actions.
8. Clicks on Edit.
9. Select Mobile & Lightning in the toolbox. Drag the action you created and drop it on the interface.
10. Finally, hit Save.
