Storylane for
Events and conferences

Cut through the noise and share demos that prospects can take home with them

Why It matters?

It can be tough to stand out in a sea of booths, sponsors, and attendees at in-person events and conferences. Use interactive demos to attract foot traffic, show off your product, and share demos in-hand.

What we’ll cover

  • Keep your conference demos short, memorable, and relevant to your audience
  • Ensure your demos are optimized across multiple devices for better accessibility
  • Download your demos for offline use, turn on autoplay and fullscreen
  • Embed lead gen forms, track demo engagement, and follow up post-event

Examples and inspiration

Storylane for events and conferences

1. Demo creation

Conference goers typically work around packed schedules in overstimulating environments. Here are a few points to create memorable demos.

  • Make an impression: Ensure that your demo is audience-specific. Importantly, use strong hooks, guide modals, and prioritize those “aha” moments to make a lasting impression with attendees.
  • Keep it short: You only have a couple of minutes to wow attendees. Keep demos short (8-10 steps) or break them down into bite sized chapters/Buyer Hubs to make the most of their time.
  • Build for multiple devices: Optimize your demos for TVs, laptops, tablets, and mobile so your on-ground team and attendees can access them via QR codes or links at their convenience.

2. Conference mode

A few quick features to ensure reliable, engaging demo experiences at events and conferences.

  • Offline download: Conference Wi-Fi is notoriously spotty and expensive. Avoid unforeseen network issues by downloading your Storylane demos for offline use.
  • Autoplay: Turn on Autoplay to keep your demos cycling through steps even when no one’s actively interacting with them. This helps draw attention and foot traffic to your booth.
  • Fullscreen: To provide an immersive experience, display your demos on fullscreen.

3. Post-event follow-up

Once conference goers see your demo in action, they’ll probably want to re-connect after the event. Here’s how to keep the conversation going with interested prospects.

  • Lead gen forms: Embed a form in your interactive demos to capture leads. Track user-level demo engagement to identify points of interest for personalized followups.
  • Follow-up demo: It’s worth sharing a personalized interactive demo with leads post-event to stay on top of mind and encourage next steps.

In addition to booths, we’ve seen customers use Storylane demos for live events and feature presentations as a reliable, hassle-free alternative to demoing the live product instance.
