Quick summary
Notion does not have a native superscript button, but you can use the inline equation or block equation feature with caret notation (e.g., x^2) to display superscript text anywhere in your Notion page.
Steps
- Open the Notion page where you want to add superscript text, then click where you want the superscript to appear.
- Type /equation and select either Inline equation or Block equation from the menu.
- Choose Block equation if you want the superscript to appear as a separate equation block, then type your formula (e.g., x^2) and hit Enter.
- Choose Inline equation if you want to insert the superscript inside a sentence, type your formula (e.g., x^2) in the equation box, then hit Enter.
- Type your sentence text before and after the superscript formula as needed.
- Note that Notion has no native superscript button for regular text — the equation workaround is the recommended method.
