Notion tags are created using a Multi-select property inside any Notion database, letting you label, filter, and sort entries by category. Once set up, you can assign one or more tags — such as Work, Personal, or Important — to every item in your database.
Steps
- Open the Notion database where you want to use tags.
- Click Add property to create a new database property.
- Select Multi-select as the property type.
- Rename the property to Tags.
- Click a cell under the Tags column, type your first tag such as Work, Personal, or Important, then press Enter to add it.
- Select one or more tags for each database item.
- Continue adding data and tags to organize, filter, or sort your database.
