Quick summary
Sorting the Jira backlog lets you reorder sprints by moving them up, down, to the top, or to the bottom directly from the scrum board. This gives teams full control over sprint sequencing without editing individual issues.
Steps
- In your Jira scrum board, head over to the top menu bar and click 'Backlog'.
- Find the sprint with the position you wish to reorder, then click the 'More Actions' button next to it.
- Choose 'Move Sprint' and select moving it down, up, to the top, or to the bottom.
- Scroll down to the next sprint, then repeat the same series of steps.
- Your Jira backlog will now be sorted based on your configuration.
