Quick summary
Google Slides does not have a built-in link shortener, but you can generate a short, shareable link by copying your presentation's URL and pasting it into an external URL shortener like Bitly or TinyURL. This workaround lets you share a clean, concise Google Slides link with viewers, commenters, or editors in seconds.
Steps
- Open your presentation in Google Slides.
- Click Share in the top-right corner.
- Add the person you want to share with, or set General access to Anyone with the link, then choose their role: Viewer, Commenter, or Editor.
- Click Copy link to copy the full presentation URL.
- Note that Google Slides has no built-in link shortener, so you will need to use an external tool as a workaround.
- Go to Google and search for a URL shortener such as Bitly, TinyURL, or URL Shortener.
- Paste the copied Google Slides link into the shortener tool.
- Copy the new shortened Google Slides link and share it with your viewers.
