Steps
- Open YouTube in your browser, play any video, click the Settings gear icon, then select Quality to check the current video resolution.
- Open a new tab and search for Enhancer for YouTube in the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome to install the extension.
- Return to YouTube and refresh the page.
- Click the Enhancer for YouTube Options icon below the video player.
- Click Playback quality in the left sidebar and enable the setting.
- Select your preferred default resolution, such as 1080p.
- Refresh the video and confirm that YouTube now plays videos automatically in your selected quality.
