Quick summary
Notion's recurring tasks feature lets you auto-duplicate database templates on a custom schedule, eliminating the need to manually recreate routine tasks. By setting a repeat interval on any database template, Notion automatically generates a fresh copy at the day, time, and timezone you choose.
Steps
- Open the Notion database where you want to set up recurring tasks.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to the blue New button, then select New template.
- Name the template, such as Weekly Review.
- Add the task details you want to reuse inside the template page, such as a checklist.
- Set any default properties for the template, such as Priority, Status, or Due Date.
- Click Duplicate every… in the yellow template bar at the top.
- Choose how often you want the task to repeat, such as Week, and adjust the day, time, starting date, or timezone.
- Return to your database and confirm the recurring template appears with a repeat icon, indicating Notion will duplicate it on your chosen schedule.
