Quick summary
Notion does not have a native recurring task feature, but you can simulate repeating tasks by adding a Frequency property (Select type) to a database table and tagging each task as Daily, Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly. This approach lets teams track task cadence directly inside their Notion workspace without any third-party tools.
Steps
- In the database table, click Add property on the far right side of the column headers.
- In the property type dropdown menu, select Select.
- Click the new property name at the top of the column to open its settings.
- Rename the property to Frequency.
- Click the first empty cell under the Frequency column to open the Select options.
- In the dropdown menu, select a recurrence option such as Daily, Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly.
- Your database now includes a Frequency property to track how often each task should repeat.
