Use this interactive demo to learn how to connect Todoist directly inside your Jira workspace.

Quick summary

This demo shows how to install the Todoist app in Jira via the Atlassian Marketplace so you can sync Jira tasks directly to your Todoist project board. The entire setup takes just a few clicks from Jira's left-side Apps panel.

Steps

  1. On Jira's main home page, head to the left-side panel and click 'Apps'.
  2. Click 'Explore More Apps' to open the Atlassian Marketplace.
  3. Use the search bar and search for 'Todoist'.
  4. Find and select 'Todoist' from the search results.
  5. Tap 'Get It Now' in the top-right corner to begin installation.
  6. Confirm the Jira site you want to connect, then click 'Review'.
  7. Click 'Get It Now' again to install the app to your Jira spaces.
  8. Todoist is now integrated — you can add Jira tasks directly to your Todoist page.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Jira with Todoist lets development and cross-functional teams bridge project tracking and personal task management in one seamless workflow. Teams that rely on Jira for issue tracking can automatically surface assigned tasks inside Todoist, reducing context switching and missed deadlines. This integration is especially valuable for individuals who manage both engineering tickets and broader to-do lists, keeping all actionable work visible in a single place. Installing the Todoist app from the Atlassian Marketplace takes minutes and requires no code, making it accessible to any Jira user.
