Use this interactive demo to learn how to add images to a Notion database table.

Quick summary

You can insert images into a Notion table by adding a Files & media property to your database and uploading an image file or pasting an image link directly into a table cell. This method lets you visually enrich any Notion database without leaving your workspace.

Steps

  1. On your Notion database table, click Add property in the table header.
  2. Select Files & media as the property type.
  3. Click a cell under the Image column — you can either upload an image from your computer or paste a link of an image you want to use.
  4. Select the image you want to upload and click Open to begin the upload.
  5. Wait until the image finishes uploading, then repeat the same steps to add more images or upload images to other rows.

📌 Why this matters

Notion's Files & media property makes it easy to attach and display images directly inside a database table, turning plain data rows into visually rich records. This feature is especially valuable for teams managing product catalogs, portfolios, or content libraries where visual context matters. By storing images as a native database property, users can filter, sort, and organize visual assets alongside other structured data without relying on third-party tools. Learning how to insert images in a Notion table helps teams build more intuitive, all-in-one workspaces.
