Use this interactive demo to learn how to activate multiple currencies in your Salesforce org.

Quick summary

This demo shows how to enable multi-currency in Salesforce by navigating through Advanced Setup and updating Company Information. Activating multiple currencies lets your org track and display records in more than one currency for global business operations.

Steps

  1. Click the gear icon at the top right menu of the Salesforce dashboard.
  2. Select Open Advanced Setup from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the Quick Find search box, search for and select Company Information.
  4. Click Edit to open the Company Information edit form.
  5. Scroll down to Currency Settings and check Activate Multiple Currencies.
  6. Once done, click Save to apply the changes.

📌 Why this matters

Enabling multi-currency in Salesforce is essential for organizations operating across multiple countries or dealing with international clients. Without this feature, all records default to a single corporate currency, making it impossible to accurately track revenue, opportunities, and transactions in local currencies. Activating multiple currencies allows Salesforce admins to set up exchange rates and let sales teams record deals in the currency of each market, improving reporting accuracy and global revenue visibility.
