Quick summary
Inline editing in Salesforce Reports lets users update record fields directly from a report view without navigating to individual records. To enable it, a Salesforce admin must access Reports and Dashboards Settings via Advanced Setup and check the inline editing option.
Steps
- Click the gear icon at the top right menu of the dashboard.
- Select Open Advanced Setup from the dropdown menu.
- In the Quick Find search box, search for and select Reports and Dashboards Settings.
- Check Enable Inline Editing in Reports from the list of options.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Save to apply the changes.
