Steps
- Open the Notion database where you want to create a timeline view, and ensure it has a Date property so items can be placed on the timeline.
- Click the + icon beside the name of your database to add a new view.
- Choose Timeline as the view type from the list of options.
- Name the view, such as Timeline or Project Timeline, to identify it easily.
- Click Done to confirm the view name and settings.
- Under show timeline by, select the date property you used on the table to control how items are plotted.
- Your Notion database now displays a Timeline view that organizes all items based on their assigned dates.
