Use this interactive demo to learn how to build a fillable Web-to-Lead form in Salesforce.

Quick summary

Salesforce's built-in Web-to-Lead and Web-to-Case tools let you generate fillable HTML forms directly from Setup, automatically capturing prospect or customer data into your CRM without any coding. In under ten minutes you can configure fields, set a redirect URL, and deploy an embeddable form that feeds leads or cases straight into Salesforce.

Steps

  1. Click the gear icon at the top left corner of your dashboard to open settings.
  2. Select Setup or Open Advanced Setup from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the Quick Find search box, type and select Web-to-Lead to capture customer information for potential sales leads.
  4. Alternatively, choose Web-to-Case if your focus is on case management.
  5. Click Create Web-to-Lead Form to begin building your fillable form.
  6. Select fields from the Available Fields box and click the > button to add them to your form.
  7. Set the Return URL to redirect users after form submission.
  8. Click Generate to produce the embeddable HTML form code.

📌 Why this matters

Salesforce's Web-to-Lead and Web-to-Case fillable forms allow businesses to capture prospect and customer data directly into their CRM without manual data entry or third-party tools. By embedding a generated HTML form on any webpage, sales and support teams can instantly route new leads and support cases into Salesforce workflows. This eliminates data silos, reduces response time, and ensures every inquiry is tracked and actionable from the moment it is submitted. For any team evaluating Salesforce CRM, native fillable form generation is a high-impact, zero-cost feature that accelerates pipeline and support operations.
