Notion's built-in Calculate feature lets you add a counter to any database column in seconds, giving you an instant row count that updates automatically as items are added or removed.
Steps
- Open the Notion database that contains the items you want to count.
- Click the column header of the property you want to count, such as Task.
- Select Calculate, hover over Count, then click Count all.
- Check the counter shown at the bottom of the column.
- Add or remove rows from the database to see the counter update automatically.
