How to Bookmark Slides in Google Slides

Use this interactive demo to learn how to save and revisit specific slides using Google Keep.

Quick summary

Google Slides has no native bookmark feature, but you can use Google Keep as a workaround to save and quickly return to any specific slide. This method lets you tag slides with notes and access them instantly from the Keep sidebar inside your presentation.

Steps

  1. Open your presentation in Google Slides.
  2. Note that Google Slides has no built-in Bookmark slide option — this method uses Google Keep as a workaround.
  3. Select the slide you want to bookmark, then right-click it and choose Save to Keep.
  4. In the Keep sidebar, click Take a note.
  5. Add a title such as a slide topic or section name to identify the bookmark.
  6. Repeat the same steps for any other slides you want to bookmark.
  7. Re-open your presentation and click Keep in the right-side panel to view your saved bookmarks.
  8. Click the saved slide link to jump back to that specific slide instantly.

📌 Why this matters

Google Slides lacks a native bookmark feature, making it difficult to navigate large presentations efficiently. By using Google Keep as a bookmarking workaround, users can save direct links to specific slides and jump back to them in one click — a critical time-saver for educators, presenters, and teams managing lengthy decks. This technique improves presentation workflow and makes slide navigation faster and more organized. It requires no third-party tools, working entirely within the Google Workspace ecosystem.
