How to Become a Jira Administrator in Spaces

This demo walks you through how to assign the Administrator role to a user in a Jira space using Space Settings. In just a few clicks, you can manage user roles directly from the People section without needing external tools.

Steps

1. In your Jira space, head to the top navigation bar and click the More Actions button.
2. Choose Space Settings from the list of options.
3. In the left-hand panel, click People.
4. Find the user whose role you want to edit, then click its corresponding Role menu.
5. Tick the checkbox beside Administrators and uncheck the checkbox beside the user's current role.
6. The selected user will now be a Jira administrator in your space.
