Adding a time property to a Notion database lets you automatically track when entries were created or last edited. This built-in feature requires no formulas — just a few clicks inside any Notion database item.
Steps
- Open the Notion database where you want to add a time property.
- Click an item in the database to open it in Side peek.
- In the side peek panel, click Add a property under the existing properties.
- Use the search bar to look for a time property.
- Select Created time or Last edited time, depending on the time information you want to show.
- Your time property is now added and will automatically display the created or last edited timestamp.
