Quick summary
You can upload a PDF to ChatGPT in just a few clicks using the attachment icon in the chat interface. Once uploaded, ChatGPT can instantly analyze, summarize, or answer questions about your document.
Steps
- Click the attachment icon in the ChatGPT chat bar — this opens your file upload options.
- Select Upload photos & files from the menu to locate and choose your PDF file.
- Once your PDF is uploaded, type your prompt to tell ChatGPT what you want it to do — such as analyze or summarize the file.
- Click the send button to submit your request and let ChatGPT process your PDF.
